What is One Young World?
One Young World is the premier global forum for young people of leadership calibre. It manifests the reality of common humanity and the shared existence of young people from around the world, with its ultimate purpose to connect and bring together the youngest, brightest and best and to ensure that their concerns, opinions and solutions are heard.
The Global CEO of Havas, Euro RSCG Tokyo’s parent company, David Jones, and Kate Robertson, Group Chairman of Euro RSCG are Co-Founders of One Young World.

One Young World 2011
One Young World 2011 was hosted by the city of Zurich, Switzerland where over 1200 young leaders from 170 countries, the most countries represented in any global event other than the Olympics. Since the 2010 summit the One Young World ambassadors have been effecting change on a global level with the launch of over 100 environmental and education projects. Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu said: “I was inspired by the energy, ideas and dynamism of the wonderful young people I met at One Young World in London last year and I am delighted to be attending the second gathering of these exceptional individuals in Zurich this year. Young people are changing the world in which we live at an incredible pace and it is important that we listen to the young leaders of tomorrow and encourage them to address the problems in the world today.”
One Young World delegates are selected for their leadership potential; many have already had an impact in their home countries on a range of issues, including the role of business in society, transparency in business and government, the impact of climate change, global health and hunger relief.
One Young World 2010
The One Young World Inaugural Summit was held in London on February 8 to 10, 2010 and drew 823 young leaders from 112 countries. The summit focused on 6 key Resolutions developed in response to the most pressing issues in the world today, as identified as by the One Young World Global Consultation Process, a poll of over 15,000 respondents aged 18-27 years old from 34 countries in every continent on the planet. The Resolutions were the focus of the Summit’s plenary sessions where Counsellors such as Kofi Annan, Bob Geldof, Muhammad Yunus and Desmond Tutu facilitated debate and dialogue between the Delegate speakers and their audience.
One Young World 2012
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA will host the third annual One Young World Summit in October, 2012. Johannesburg, South Africa will host in 2013.
